A Daily Mail report that has been released this afternoon is reporting that the locals of the location of the outbreak, Wuhan actually believe that 42,000 people likely died of the coronavirus, not the 3,200 that the CCP originally claimed. This figure than ten times the originally reported figure. The official report stated that 3,300 people died and over 81,000 were infected with the virus.
However, in contrast to this contained in today’s expose is the claim from Wuhan residents that 500 urns were being sent to grieving families every day from the seven separate funeral homes in the city. Put in stark terms the ashes of 3,500 people could have been sent out every 24 hours. This would result in 42,000 urns being handed out in a 12-day period. These developments have occurred against the backdrop of the province of Wuhan loosening its two-month lockdown of 50 million people.
Those people who have been given a ‘green’ health certificate which signifies that they have tested negative for the virus have been allowed to leave the province from midnight on the 25th of March. This was the first time the locals have been allowed to leave the region since the 23rd of January. However, restrictions on travelling in and out of Wuhan will stay in effect until April the 8th. According to the account of one resident in Wuhan captured by ‘Radio Free Asia’ “It can’t be right because the incinerators have been working round the clock, so how can so few people have died?”.
A source close to authorities in Hubei province is quoted in the Mail stating that many residents died in their homes without receiving an official diagnosis. A further resident claimed: “Maybe the authorities are gradually releasing the real figures, intentionally or unintentionally, so that people will gradually come to accept the reality.” The source asserted that the new estimated figure was not exaggerated given that 28,000 cremations took place in one month.
