Reports are suggesting that the asylum seekers and migrants that have been arriving in Britain that could have been exposed to Covid-19 will no longer be sent to specialist centres to control the virus to avoid spreading the bug. The Sun is reporting that the Heathrow Holiday Inn Ariel hotel has been taken over by the Government to look after those people arriving from countries worst hit by the Coronavirus.
The reports emerging are stating that instead the migrants will be isolated for 14 days under strict supervision in selected premises. A 16-year-old teenage migrant last week sparked mass panic last week at Lunar House, immigration HQ in Croydon, South London. The 16-year-old who was from Eritrea, Africa was held inside the building for tests and tested positive for the coronavirus. As part of this, the teen was sent to the Holiday Inn at Heathrow for isolation.
Today it emerged that the Heathrow Holiday Inn Ariel hotel also is known as ‘Lunar House’ has been taken over by the Government to house people arriving from countries worst hit by the virus, such as China, Italy, Iran and South Korea. A source told the Sun that up to 50 Lunar House staff are believed to now be at risk.
The Holiday Inn being that could become known as ‘Hotel Corona’ may be part of a wider government strategy to combat the virus especially given the fact the UK is now the epicentre of the virus and it now accounts for a third of all global cases.
