Reports suggest Prince Andrew will have second TV interview

Reports are emerging that suggest that the shamed Prince Andrew is actively considering a second television interview concerning his dealings with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Vanity Fair is reporting these revelations following the Prince’s car crash appearance on the BBC which was aired over the weekend.

This news has come to light only a day after Prince Andrew released a statement which stated his “former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major distraction” and that the Prince was to step back from public duties “for the foreseeable future”. The Queen formally approved Prince Andrew’ request yesterday.

The Duke of York has been universally slammed following the interview, in which many feel the Prince was hopelessly out of touch and unaware of the situation surrounding his associations with Mr Epstein. The Prince claimed a lack of clear memory with some events while claiming to know exact times and dates of others. One example of this was concerning Virginia Roberts, one of Epstein’s accusers who claims she had dinner with Prince Andrew, danced with him at a club, and later had sex with him in Belgravia, central London. In response, Prince Andrew replied, “I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever.”

The assumption was made that following yesterday’s announcement that he would stay away from the limelight. However, Vanity Fair is reporting a source that has told them told them Prince Andrew wanted to “put right the things he didn’t say Newsnight gave him the chance to show some remorse. He was asked if there was anything else, he wanted to say. It was an open goal – he didn’t grasp it, and I think he sees that now.” Many experts are warning Prince Andrew away from such a move. It is difficult to disagree.
