SECRET plot to OUST Theresa May is back ON!

According to reports in well connected newspaper The Times  it has been revealed that rival Tory groups are set for an autumn showdown after the Prime Minister’s Brexit proposals were not accepted by the Brussels elites.

The source said to The Times that an autumn leadership election was “nailed on”, adding that Mrs May would “be out by October”.

The  EU’s chief negotiator Michel Barnier said in a fraught press conference with Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab that the EU will never accept the prime minister’s customs deal.

The customs proposals would see Britain collect EU tariffs on goods heading to Europe. May was made to endorse amendments by Jacob Rees-Mogg’s European Research Group (ERG) to the customs bill.

And Rees-Mogg is now adamant the government’s Brexit White Paper, which was thrashed out at a Chequers Cabinet meeting, is a “capitulation”.

Rees-Mogg said:

If the EU won’t accept Chequers and the capitulation which it represents then it is hard to see any sensible solution beyond a Canada-style free trade agreement.”

The Conservative MP for North West Leicestershire, Andrew Bridgen, has also said that May must go. At a meeting of his local party on Thursday, a motion of no confidence in the Prime Minister was endorsed. It came after Bridgen savaged Theresa May’s Brexit plan in a stinging no-confidence letter earlier this month.

Many political commentators think that the challenge will most likely come from Boris Johnson who they see as most likely to win the majority of fellow MP’s needed to oust May in any leadership contest.
