Serving Metropolitan police constable charged with sexual offences

A serving Metropolitan police constable has been charged with sexual offences.

PC Rudvelle Walters, 47, who is attached to the North West Command Unit, will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 11 August charged with sexual assault on a female and attempted sexual assault on a female, both contrary to Section 3(1) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

The incident was reported to have happened on Tuesday, 5 February 2019 at about 05:00hrs at a hotel on the High Road in Wembley, when the officer was on duty.

The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards was informed and the officer arrested on 6 February 2019.

PC Walters was charged as above on Friday, 15 May.

He is currently on restricted duties and his status is being reviewed.

The metropolitan police have made little comment on the issue given it is an ongoing court case. UNN will keep you updated with the latest.
