In relation to Theresa May the future is she will most likely be out of her job as Prime Minister on Friday. There is now widespread speculation Theresa May could announce her date of departure when she is due to meet Sir Graham Brady, chair of the backbench 1922 Committee. The resignation of Andrea Leadsom last night was the final nail in the coffin and delivered the fatal blow.
Theresa May brought back her Withdrawal ‘Deal’ on Monday with a new ten point plan that she thought would be more palatable in order to achieve a cross party consensus. This included allowing Parliament the option of voting on holding a second EU referendum. Immediately this new set of options was denounced by nearly all Brexiteers including those such as Boris Johnson and Jacob Rees Mogg who had grudgingly backed the deal at the last vote. The Labour Party also said they saw nothing that would make them want to vote for it.
