Teenager stabbed to death in South London

A murder investigation has been launched after a teenager was found stabbed in south London.

Police and the ambulance service were called to Prentis Road in Streatham at about 16:00 BST according to the Metropolitan Police.

A youth, believed to be in his late teens, was found with a knife wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at hospital 30 minutes later.

Four males and three females have been arrested on suspicion of various offences, detectives said.

There have been at least 50 murders in London this year so far and eighteen of the killings have happened since the start of May.

As yet no description of the attackers or victim have been released.
