The HORRORS of being a teacher and seeing what has been done to children over the last two years

UNN has received this and we publish on an anonymous basis.
It is almost impossible to know where to start. The journey has been a long and painful one which I am sure many can relate to.
It started for me right at the beginning when children were lined up to be escorted to class (because a teacher escorting them would contain a deadly disease) with face masks on. Standing, lined up, in uniform with face masks on. My school even went as far as getting some made from nylon with the schools motto on it.
When I wrote to the senior team to express my upset of having children asking could they remove their masks due to being too hot, and explaining that I did not have the right to decide who breathes, the suggestion was ‘tell them to take a sip of water, that should give a sufficient break’.
As teachers we taught online and then made phone calls to the ones that didn’t attend class. After returning to school from the first lockdown, one child said to me ‘please miss, no more lockdowns. Me, my mum and 2 brothers live in a one bedroom flat and we have no garden’. I wanted to die with sadness.
I thought that another lockdown and getting kids back in would be as bad as it gets but no…… I am head of year 11 and things have just gone from bad to worse.
Causal absence from school has increased by at least 40%. Almost half of children – especially those in the upper years cannot manage a full week of school. They have managed to cope by having 1 or 2 days off a week. Those who are not allowed time off have another strategy. Taking 2 hours to walk to school with your friends certainly eases the burden of entering the institution. Head teachers and the majority of teaching staff are totally unaware that the older children have a sense that school is an unpleasant experience that is best avoided. For many staff it’s easier to just say that the children are lazy and in bad habits. I hear this daily and it is a complete lie. The children are traumatised.
Why would they trust or enjoy school? They were masked, lined up, sent home. Schools stopped serving hot food for over a year and there’s been no school trips for 2 years, no proms, no visiting workshops and playtime has been one year group at a time until recently.
Children at my school have been excluded and put into isolation for being seen in ‘another year groups bubble’. Some children have been excluded for ‘hugging a child that was not in their bubble’, despite the fact that child was their best friends sister who walks home with them anyway!! I have watched the madness and I have spent so long waiting to be dismissed because of how much I speak up and refuse to participate.
The covid vaccines were introduced through school.  Less than 10% took up the offer thankfully. Out of the 10% – 40 or so children, 18 of them were off sick the next day or days following. I of course pointed this out, only to be told ‘next time we will do it on a Friday so they can be sick over the weekend’. Sickening. I have one student who said he can’t stop the ringing in his ears since his vaccine and he has constant headaches but his mum took him for his booster because she is ‘vulnerable’.
I was saddened when a prefect who is normally bubbly and smiling looked really upset the other day. I asked ‘what’s wrong’, she replied ‘miss I had my vaccine yesterday and I feel like my head is going to explode’.
Out of 130 children in my year group, 47 of them have such bad anxiety they cannot attend school regularly and they cannot sit exams. Every day, somebody has a panic attack and these are children that never had this before. The levels of self harm are the highest I’ve ever seen….. from slashes on arms, to drinking a full bottle of bleach to one girl who has taken full boxes of paracetamol in the toilets on two occasions  now.
I went to see the school counselling team to ask them about their case load as we make referrals to them when a student needs support. They said their cases have risen 10 fold and they are having to prioritise cases in a manner which is immoral due to sheer workload. In saying that, despite them being aware and seeing this, the counselling team are all shit scared of covid and have vaccine stickers on their identification badges and they council these poor children with masks on. And whilst on the subject of masks, we have at least 40 kids in the school who wear double masks, refuse to touch equipment, refuse to drink or eat all day in case they need to use the toilet. They don’t even eat in the morning before school in case they may die from disease in the school toilets.
Not long has passed since these kids were not permitted to be in school. Sadly, too many people in education think that these children have low literacy levels and even worse attention spans due to being lazy or unmotivated. Not many teaching staff are prepared to admit that these kids have just been simply messed up.
There’s a small minority of awake staff who see the damage. We all stick together and we have to be very careful what we say and to whom because nobody wants to admit what they have done.
This is my truth. I’ve written this from a place of love and concern. The child abuse needs to stop, the brainwashing needs to end.
I would love for teachers feeling the same way as me to unite and for us to join together.
Thanks for taking time to read this.
Thank god I teach music ❤️❤️
