Three men have been charged after a woman was left with life-changing injuries following a shooting in east London.
Police were called at 20:52hrs on 22 November 2020 to reports of a shooting in Westgate Street, Hackney. A 32-year-old woman was taken to hospital where she continues to receive treatment.
E] Akile Lee-Walton, 23 (11.02.98), of Pemberton Road, N4, was charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He is due to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 14 April.
[A] Reuel Briscoe, 28 (06.10.92), of HMP Belmarsh, was charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He is due to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 15 April. [F] Jeremiah Briscoe, 24 (31.03.97), of HMP Thameside, was charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He is also due to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 15 April.On Tuesday, 13 April officers carried out warrants at two addresses in Hackney and one address in Tottenham. Three men, aged between 20 and 27 [G, H and I], were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. They have been bailed to return to a north London police station in May.
A further three people [B, C and D] were previously arrested as part of the investigation and subsequently released under investigation while enquiries continue.
