World Health Organisation’s Proposed Pandemic Treaty on Pandemic Preparedness
I write regarding the WHO’s proposed Pandemic Treaty and the negotiations that are currently underway with a proposed ratification date set for 2024.
This Treaty, is based upon Article 19 of the United Nations’ World Health Organisation (WHO) Constitution, which allows the WHO General Assembly to adopt binding agreements for all 194 Member States.
The WHO General Assembly is a democratically illegitimate committee that can not only decide what constitutes a pandemic but can then seize executive power upon their own call this is akin to giving the keys of the hen house to the fox. A case of “those who decide are not elected and those who are elected have nothing to decide”.
I am therefore extremely concerned that the signing of this document will allow the WHO to prescribe binding measures such as lockdowns, mandatory vaccination and the centralised collection of sensitive personal medical data.
This treaty is clearly a direct threat to our nation’s sovereignty and right to bodily autonomy. It has the very real potential to expand the WHO’s power to dictate all health care policy worldwide.
Given that we fought side by side in the long and protracted Brexit battle to “take back control” from one illegitimate unaccountable international body to then go and repeat the same mistake again would, I am sure you would agree, be nothing short of insanity.
