Whilst biblical tales are not for everyone, they are at least instructive and have stood the test of time through countless retellings and translations through varied cultures and regions worldwide.
The story of Noah is one I think has many lessons within it. Noah was told by god that the flood was coming, in the current times we do not need God to tell us anything. Free market economics became God in the 1980’s with the introduction of Thatcherite market reforms and the growth of financialisation and the service sector.
If you will forgive the rather crass analogy above then God is telling you that you need to build an ark to rescue whatever you can salvage from this dying society. Noah himself was ridiculed and persecuted for his outlook and his efforts as are people in the current situation who choose to move their wealth outside the collapsing fiat monetary system.
People who buy gold are looked on as odd or somehow devious because they do not want their financial situation catalogued by the credit reference agencies and banking cartels. People who speculate on cryptocurrencies are treated similarly or accused of being cynical speculatory hyenas simply because they are willing to risk their capital in volatile markets.
The parallels with Noah do not end there, you can be sure when the flood does come all the detractors and naysayers will soon arrive to demand that they be allowed space on your ark. The fact they derided you and called you a fool will not in any way limit their claim on your hard work and preparedness. The fact you went without other luxuries to build your ark will mean nothing to these entitled people. They have to be protected – because!
The fact is that this process is already well advanced. As illegal immigrants queue up at the docks in Dover people are being told there is no NHS treatment for them. The well used term ‘I paid into the system for all my life’ has never been more apt. Yes, you did work and contribute, you were part of a wider society, you were part of a community, you raised children and now that whole world is being torn to shreds in front of your face.
Don’t forget the lies that are being perpetrated on a massive scale, Dr Fauci has it seems been caught out lying about the gain of function research in the Wuhan Lab. The original Zerohedge story that kicked off my commentary on this issue fifteen months ago has been vindicated. The ‘conspiracy theorists’ have yet again just proven to be people better informed and less willing to swallow falsehoods from those we are meant to be able to trust.
What you must do right now is to consider the above issues not just as single data points but as an interconnected set of inferences that point to a wider and more disturbing truth. The system as we know it is starting to fragment. How else would Alex Jones’ narrative that was only relatively recently dismissed as lunatic ranting now be proven correct?
Another issue stems from this deductive process and that is the sad fact that a huge proportion of the population have been turned into unthinking and compliant drones by this stream of propaganda which they have succumbed to. I don’t hate these people on a personal level but they are as a group dangerous. Herds act en masse and without logic, they stampede, they surge and they consume vast resources and this herd lives around you, they are in the shops, the schools and the hospitals. The danger occurs when you as a thinking, rational individual need to access these places and the herd see you as a danger and start to act against you.
I can only reiterate the same advice that I have always given via this outlet. Prepare. I can’t predict the exact timetable of what may happen but economic and social collapse are now just a few steps down the road. Entire governments have been found to be peddling complete falsehoods and yet the masked zombies are still obsessing about trivia and holidays to Crete. Do not be swept away by the flood, build your ark now.
Your ark must largely be an ark of stoicism and fortitude, you will have to be stronger than you ever thought possible. You may have to disown friends and family as you cannot save someone who refuses to be saved. You will have to plan for times when your standard of living will go down, you will have to plan to preserve your current wealth as best you can. You will have to plan to ensure your personal food stability. You may have to defend yourself against unlawful acts of government actors.
