Donald Trump is now clearly either out of control or totally under the control of the Zionist lobby. His latest ambition to clear the Gaza strip and turn it into a ‘Riviera of the Middle East’ is both the rantings of a lunatic and one of the most inhuman suggestions, almost in modern history. Hitler wanted to clear the Jews out of Germany; he wants to clear the Palestinians out of their homeland.

His announcement of the insane and inhuman policy to relocate the Palestinians from the little they possess in Israel follows two years of almost continual bombardment of innocent people. It must increase speculation about Israel’s complicity in the original slaughter that led to the present situation. Was this always the plan?

Hamas are horrible, not only for participating in the slaughter of just over 1000 innocent people but also, as the consequences were entirely predictable, of not caring about the outcome for the people they purport to represent. For anyone who considers the concept that Hamas did kill innocent people unpalatable (eg 43% of UK Muslims) consider the fact that, while Muslims worldwide deny it, Hamas never have.

But the predictable response has been out of all proportion with conservative estimates of 40,000 killed. Hamas were never the target; how could they be? They are either hundreds of feet under the ground or living in council flats on the outskirts of London. And witness the hundreds of men in Hamas uniforms harassing the young ladies who were released from captivity as part of the ceasefire deal. Hamas has most definitely not been destroyed.

Israel, by brilliant exploitation of pagers and mobile phones, was able to paralyse Hezbollah, specifically and ruthlessly. Why then did they have to bomb the Gaza strip almost out of existence? In fact, if Donald Trump has his way, then they will, indeed, have bombed the Gaza strip out of existence. What is left, it is proposed, will be levelled, the remaining Palestinians relocated and replaced by Trump towers, Trump hotels and the wherewithal for all manner of decadence.

For those who consider that a great idea, it will involve the destruction of mosques and churches – the ones left standing – and the forced removal of a population many of which have no love for Hamas in the first place. Hamas was foisted on them by the Israelis who thought they could control them, where the PLO was less compliant. That did not go well. But thousands of Palestinians depended on Israel for employment and income; they have lost that since the war and now, it appears they may lose that forever.

Like all of Donald Trump’s great ideas, this one has not been thought through. Remember his famous wall on the Mexican border and his delusion that Mexico would pay for it? That never got built. But the plan to clear Gaza does not seem like a joke; especially with Benjamin Netanyahu sitting beside him grinning like the Cheshire Cat.

A major question that nobody seems to have asked yet is, if the Palestinians are forcibly removed from the Gaza strip, where will they go? The surrounding Arab League countries do not want them. Jordan and Egypt have closed their borders to Palestinians refugees and major players in the region such as Saudi Arabia want nothing to do with them as they try to cultivate cordial relations with Israel.

There is not the slightest possibility that they will be welcome within Israel and, as Israel has lately started bombing the West Bank, it appears they may have designs on that area too. Could it be that this is a plan to expel, forcibly, all Palestinians from Israel and the Occupied Territories? What if they do not want to go? Is there a ‘final solution’ in preparation? Time will tell but the irony of proposals for one ethnic (strictly multi-ethnic) group being cleared out of their homes by another multi-ethnic group is surely not lost on anyone with eyes to see. God help the Palestinian people.
