NewsGuard is an New York based organisation that was set up to combat ‘fake-news’. Now of course this is a controversial issue but this is what they say in their mission statement:
“NewsGuard uses journalism to fight false news, misinformation, and disinformation. Our trained analysts, who are experienced journalists, research online news brands to help readers and viewers know which ones are trying to do legitimate journalism—and which are not.”
They have been corresponding with Unity News Network over the last few weeks and we are absolutely delighted to say that we have been given a green tick and an excellent bill of journalistic health as you can see below. One area we are working with them to improve upon is our corrections policy but it is only small tweaks required.
We have also shown below some other major players in the media world and the ratings they have received.
As an organisation we believe in Brexit and improving Britain. We do this not by making up fake news or engaging in smears but rather by telling you the public the truth and we are delighted to have our integrity and journalistic efforts confirmed.
