The 45th President of the United State Donald J. Trump has slammed the mainstream media for spreading ‘fake news’ about his visit to the United Kingdom and his meeting with the Her Majesty the Queen.

President Trump, speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania, denied that he was late for the Queen calling the story “disgusting“.

The President said: “So here was the story by the fake news: the president was 15 minutes late for the Queen – wrong,”

President Trump then goes on to tell the rally he was in fact fifteen minutes early, when he says:

“I was about 15 minutes early and I’m waiting with my wife and that’s fine – hey, it’s the Queen, right?”

President Donald J. Trump’s helicopter did in fact land around 16:50 and he was due to meet the Queen at 17:00.

He was not late at all for the meeting as he stepped out of his car (he was due to enter the quadrangle at 17:00)

Of course, the BBC latched onto the story and in their article claim that President Trump was being untruthful about having to wait around fifteen minutes to meet the Queen, however from Trump’s helicopter landing to actually meeting the Queen he did wait around 12-14 minutes before greeting Her Majesty.
