Lee Sibley, is a well known activist in the County of Gloucestershire, he is prominently known for his petitions to ‘sack Sadiq Khan as London mayor’ , ‘Ban Homework in all schools in the United Kingdom’ and many others including the petition to rehouse ‘Chloe and her four year old son’.
Lee emailed Stroud District Council a few months back in order to file a complaint since he found it very ‘offensive’ and has since caused ‘stress’ for many people.
Lee was incensed when veterans got hold of him and supported the petition and was deeply horrified to learn that someone would fly such a flag which they did not fight for and that we should completely stand next to our lovely Union Jack. What’s there to be ashamed of? Absolutely, nothing this flag is a sign of freedom and the last hope of Brexit being delivered on 31st October so we can be proud to say she’s our and fly her above the land once again. Long live Britannia many would say.
Lee and his supporters emailed, Patrick Arran, who is the ‘legal and interim officer’ for Stroud District Council’. Lee wrote to Mr Arran that it was very ‘offensive’ & shows a lack of ‘respect’ to the people who voted to leave the betrayed majority of the 17.4 million who choose to leave the undemocratic bureaucracy which is the European Union.
Mr Arran replied that he would not deal with it and the council won’t act on it either, this was before he learned that Stroud District Council appeared on BBC Radio Gloucestershire which they said in the exact words of ‘if a petition is submitted they will deal in line with the council constitution’ I and all the supporters know this is completely untrue, as Lee submitted as soon as he learned about the interview to which Mr Arran replied with a not to standard response.
Lee and others wrote a few times to show that we care, he said he won’t correspond anymore. This is horrific for a legal officer to behave in such a manner and when we complained multiple times about him and the flag he should of sent me the details to take it to level 2.

‘A EUROSCEPTIC teenager’s online petition to remove the EU flag from Ecotricity building in Stroud has failed despite being signed by more than 1,240 people.
Lee Sibley, 16, has complained that the EU flag in Stroud is “absolutely disgusting” and an “eyesore”. Owner of the electricity company Ecotricity, Dale Vince hung up the flag on April 14 as he is against the country leaving the European Union and believes Brexit will increase the threat of climate change. Mr Sibley, who is well known in Gloucestershire after he started a petition to ban homework which went viral, has since launched a petition against the flag.
The teenager said studying for four hours each night has affected his social life and has prevented him from going fishing.
He wrote on his online petition: “If I were to fly the Union Jack or the England flag I would be told to remove it.
“So my question is why are you letting this flag which does not represent myself or Stroud!
“I love going to Stroud and this beautiful constituency but this flag is offensive, disrespectful and very daunting. Makes me feel unwelcome and sad.”
Mr Sibley said to Gloucestershire Live: “This flag is offending many people, including veterans who have signed the petition.
“It’s absolutely disgusting as it’s also an eyesore, not forgetting health and safety as well.”
On his website, Mr Sibley said: “Britain needs to change, this is only possible if we leave the European Union, so that we have the full opportunity to make our own decisions and choices as a country.
“Once this is done we will move to the next stage of our campaign to renew and reinvigorate Britain.”
The Stroud District Council’s response to the teenager given to him by interim head of legal and monitoring officer, Patrick Arran, said: “The council has no power to do what you are asking because no law has been broken.”
Mr Sibley also said to Gloucestershire Live: “I believe veterans are saddened due to the fact many voted leave and of course they fought under our Great British flag and they feel voiceless.
“Many want to leave the EU and seeing this flag makes them feel uncomfortable and daunted – especially if they want to visit Stroud and live there as well.”

Lee decided to give Stroud council a fifth chance at least to see if they will come back with a better standard response. They have ten working days so will expire on Tuesday 15th October, so hopefully we will achieve the result.
No matter what they should take all complaints seriously and not just shrug it off. If People wanted to fly the Union Jack or any other flags they will be told to remove ASAP as it’s offensive. The council has a moral duty to make people feel welcome and I don’t feel welcome in Stroud but I do feel sad by this ‘eyesore’ flag flying over this historical place.
