BREAKING: Labour MP Fiona Onasanya charged with CRIME!

Fiona Onasanya the Labour MP for Peterborough who was elected as the Member of Parliament in 2017,  is due to appear in court next month after being charged with perverting the course of justice over an attempt to pass speeding points on to someone else.

The Labour MP who was elected last year as a result of the snap general election has appeared at Westminster Magistrate’s Court on 12 July and is due to appear in court again on 13 August.

Fiona Onasanya who also serves in the party’s whips office narrowly won the seat from her Conservative rival Stewart Jackson with a majority of only 607.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “Fiona Oluyinka Onasanya, 34, from Peterborough has been charged with one count of perverting the course of justice.

She appeared at Westminster Magistrate’s Court on 12 July and is due to appear in court again on 13 August.”
