The MP for Somerset and Chairman of the ERG, Jacob Rees-Mogg, was left soaked with a bottle of water after yet another assault on Brexit supporters
After leaving a speaking engagement at the Friends’ Meeting House in central London on Wednesday night he was accosted by an angry far-left mob who shouted disgraceful slogans at him including numerous expletives.
When he arrived some of the initial mob shouted: “In you go Jacob, you horrible little man. Take your fascism with you.”

One demonstrator then tried to pour a bottle over the MP’s head as he left but missed and hit his trousers. The thug then shouted mockingly : “Have a drink of water. It’s European water.”
However, instead of retaliating Rees-Mogg in his usual dignified way simply smiled as a he whisked away in a black Mercedes. He later said to MailOnline: ‘It is not easy to turn me into a Tory wet’.
Mr Rees-Mogg has previously been confronted by anarchists outside his home in front of his children who were subjected to a barrage of ill-tempered language and slogans that Mr Rees-Mogg dealt with impeccably.
