Fourteen men and woman have been charged with child sex offences after a major police investigation into an alleged paedophile ring operating in Glasgow.
The accused have all faced court appearances over an eleven-day period from October 9 to 20.
Police confirmed their enquiries are ongoing into the alleged offences understood to have happened in the Townhead area.
Five men – who appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, October 12 – face a raft of allegations including the rape of a child aged under 13-year-old.
A 42-year-old is facing a total of 13 charges which include cruelty to a child under 16, causing a child to participate in and be present during sexual activity.
He is also accused of three counts of raping a child under the terms of the Sexual Offences Scotland Act 2009.

The same man faces further charges of assault to injury, assault to danger of life, culpable and reckless conduct and threatening and abusive behaviour.
He made no plea when he appeared alongside four male co-accused aged 38, 43, 47, and 54 – who have all been granted bail with further court dates yet to be set.
The previous Friday, a 36-year-old woman and a man aged 47-year-old appeared at the court after having been arrested and charged as part of the same investigation.
On Tuesday, October 13, a further three women aged 35, 49 and 48 faced court appearances, followed the next day by a man, aged 50.
A female aged 39 and a 44-year-old were arrested and charged ahead of a court date on Thursday, October 22.
The final accused is a 44-year-old man who faces charges at the court on Tuesday, October 20.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that 14 people have been arrested and charged in connection with alleged child sexual offences in the Glasgow area.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
