Street paintings of the London mayor Sadiq Khan have been removed after complaints they were ‘contentious’. Displayed on the side of the Food Bazaar Café in Gray’s Inn Road in Holborn, private contractors Veolia removed the mural two weeks ago.
The mural was painted by graffiti artist Loretto which shows Mayor Khan emulating a strip dancer performing for a rapturous audience sporting only a bow tie and ‘mankini’ to keep people from seeing even more!
Café owner Said Effafali said: “I explained to them [the council] that if one person complains, then 99 still like it.”
He said he believed the murals were removed because they displayed officials such as Khan. “Art is not to everybody’s liking. Of course you’ll offend people, but a majority likes it. We don’t know what’s not offensive any more.”
A Spokesperson for the Council said: “Following the appearance of the two large stencil works on the café wall in April this year, we received six reports of ‘offensive’ graffiti over a six-week period. A council officer visited the café owner several times over the following months to discuss the stencil.
Using the Keep Britain Tidy scale, the positioning of these has been graded as ‘unsatisfactory’, as they are clearly visible to people passing the location, and at a distance.”
We dig some deeping and found out these images were removed in RECORD time which means someone high up, possibly even Khan himself, insisted that these images be removed.
UK Unity Spokesperson David Clews says: “Sadiq Khan has presided over calamity after calamity. Murder rates are now higher than New York with Acid Attacks, Moped Attacks and Rapes also Sky Rocketing. The decision to allow an anti-Trump blimp to fly over London is the final straw for many and his antics in opposing the leader of the free world’s visit make a mockery of the entire UK and not just London that he represents. The fact he is such a hypocrite is what sticks in the throats of many people all across the UK.”
UK Unity will be writing to the Prime Minister asking her party to seek to repeal the Greater London Authority Act 1999 (c. 29) with her Parliamentary majority in order that Khan can be removed from office with fresh elections held. We will also be engaging in leafleting and other methods to take direct democratic action against Khan. Depending on sums of money raised we will play Khan at his own game in relation to flying a blimp over London mocking President Trump… we will seek t o do something similar to Khan!
We will seek to involve as many people and get as wide a support base on this as possible.The campaign will culminate in a protest outside Mayor’s question time on the 13th of September in London with banners, flags, leaflets and placards. Your support on the street, on social media and financially is needed to make a success of this. We have a proven track record of political delivery and our organisation does what it says it will do.
