West Midlands Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was fatally stabbed in Birmingham on Tuesday 21st July.
Officers were called to the Crowne Plaza hotel on Holliday Street at around 7.20pm where a 20-year-old man was found with stab injuries.
Sadly despite efforts to save the young man, he was later pronounced dead at hospital.
Fast-track enquiries led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man this morning and he remains in police custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, from our Homicide Unit, said: “A young man has tragically lost his life and our thoughts are with his family after receiving such shocking news. They have been fully updated with news of our arrest and are being supported by specialist officers.”
