NHS GP accused of over 80 sex offences against women and teenage girls

A doctor is on trial accused of more than 80 sex offences against women and girls.

Krishna Singh, 72, faces a list of alleged crimes said to have occurred between 1983 and 2018.

They are mainly claimed to have happened at medical practices in North Lanarkshire.

One accusation allegedly took place in the accident and emergency department of a hospital.

The charges include indecent and sexual assault as well as acting in a lewd and libidinous manner.

Amongst the claims, it is alleged Singh did get women to stand on scales before molesting them.

He is also accused of kissing females and making inappropriate comments.

A stethoscope is said to have been used in a number of the accusations.

Singh denies the allegations at the High Court in Glasgow back in June 2019.
