Nigel Farage furious at media ignoring fact ‘illegal migrants’ continue to enter into UK

The Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage has given his take on the news that ‘illegal migrants’ are still attempting to cross into the United Kingdom via the English Channel.

After calling for tougher coronavirus restrictions in UK airports, Mr Farage was pleased to learn the government said they are considering quarantining people who flew in from abroad, however, he questioned: “Is it too little too late?”, going on to say “I think it should have been done a long time ago”.

Nigel pointed out that “if doing that leads to some easing of a lockdown” then he is all for the quarantining of UK airports but added that because of our slow response “when history judges this, we’ll be judged very poorly”.

Mr Farage then turned his attention to the ‘illegal migrants’ that have been entering into the UK via the English Channel, bringing into question the security of the UK during the lockdown.

He then made the point that when he was watching the government’s coronavirus press briefings “not a single journalist asked a question about it”, upsetting him further that no one in the media was willing to even ask the questions.

He stressed the issue with these people crossing into the UK during the crisis, pointing out that “nobody that gets into the UK through this route ever gets sent back” and this could cause a big problem for the UK once lockdown is lifted.

Mr Farage said he shocked that “no one seems to care” about the vast numbers entering illegal and wondered why nobody felt that it matters to discuss the problem.

“Doesn’t this matter?” Nigel pleaded.
