Mr Farage has also tweeted this morning: “Great news! It is a big moment in the history of this nation to celebrate.” Whilst it remains unclear and unlikely that Big Ben will ring out at 11pm due to the bizarrely extortionate cost of £500,000 to ring Big Ben at 11pm which is the official time of our departure from the EU.

Mr Farage has stated that “If they (the government) were enthusiastic about celebrating Brexit and not embarrassed by it, they would make this commitment”. This was in relation to the possibility of the government underwriting the cost of bonging Big Ben for the occasion. This is unlikely to prevent thousands from attending the event. Admittedly very little has been revealed about the event so far by its organisers ‘leave means leave’. Brexit Party Chairman Richard Tice and leader Nigel Farage have been at the forefront of the event’s promotion and will be in attendance.
If anyone is unsure as to the details of the event, it is to be held outside on Parliament Square, Westminster, on the 31st of January 2020. The start time is yet to be confirmed. Parliament square can be easily reached via the London Underground or by travelling on a bus or taxi from King’s Cross Station.
