Yesterday’s terrorist incident in Streatham has caused outrage and deep concern across the United Kingdom. UNN brought you the news live last night details regarding the Jihadi who committed yesterday’s horrific attacks. As part of Oliver Down’s investigations, further details on Sudesh Amman have been uncovered. Many will be aware that Mr. Amman was jailed in December 2018 for 13 terror offences. However, the BBC News home affairs producer Daniel De Simone has taken to twitter to state “I was there and recall Amman smiling as he was sentenced”. Many will be questioning why such an unrepentant terrorist was released so soon.
Daniel De Simone stated that “Amman was first arrested in north London in May 2018 by armed officers on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack. He had come to the attention of counter-terrorism police in April that year when officers were made aware of postings on the Telegram messaging app”. A second tweet read “The posts included a photo showing an image of a knife along with two firearms on a Shahada flag along with Arabic words meaning: ‘Armed and ready April 3’” . Further evidence on Mr Simone’s Twitter feed shows a picture of a knife that Mr Amman had when he was arrested.
Mr Amman also had a “fascination with conducting an attack was focused on using a knife but the reference was also made to committing acid attacks on mopeds.” It seems highly unlikely that Mr Amman was deradicalized sufficiently for release last week. Messages in Mr Amman’s trial read that “he regarded Yazidi women as slaves, the Quran made it permissible to rape them”. This according to Mr De Simone who was present in the court when Amman was convicted. Mr Amman was automatically released on the 23rd of January after he served half of his sentence. This must stop, Boris Johnson, Priti Patel and the government must change this happening at once.
