Much has been noted regarding the madness of crowds since the notion was first mooted way back in 1841 by one Charles Mackay in his work ‘Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions’ and little appears to have changed with respect to the kind of mass psychosis that is fostered when hysteria, like some kind of a virus of the mind, passes through a crowd from person to person seeing them all teeter on the edge of the insanity of groupthink before falling into the abyss to become an unthinking, howling loon, barely more civilised than our most distant ancestors.It’s quite in fashion these days it appears. Recent footage of Dominic Cummings being harassed in the street by supposedly very angry activists should be enough to chill the bones of all decent free-thinking folk as the messy spectacle of a media scrum of scum media makes for the kind of orchestrated display that P.T. Barnum himself would be proud of – all that’s missing is a barker perched atop an impromptu soapbox bellowing ‘Roll up! Roll up!’ as if the whole thing were akin to some kind of latter-day freak show!

You’d have to be some kind of a cretin to think that the ‘members of the public’ filming themselves hurling abuse at Mr. Cummings on his way home yesterday with all the glee of one of our not so distant cousins in the animal kingdom with a handful of their own fresh, moist faeces weren’t all fully paid up members of rent-a-mob deploying so-called ‘leverage tactics’ and showing scat regard for the feelings of his wife and child hiding behind the locked door of his private residence. The whole debacle was a frankly shocking display that can only serve as a terrifying signpost towards the kind of Brave New Country we shall all find ourselves inhabiting when the memory of this most confected of pandemic scares is little more than a fading memory.

I’m on record for identifying ‘woke’ culture as a new, secular pseudo-religion as far back as maybe five years ago now, though I could not have guessed just how rabid acolytes of this modern-day urban cult might have become. The NHS has seen itself catapulted into the stratosphere, nay – even unto the very heavens themselves as some kind of stand in for the Church – who find themselves engaged in the most tawdry of displays as they scrabble to keep up and retain at least a sliver of relevance – though I highly suspect that regardless of what overt Communists badly disguised as Bishops have to say on the matter – the pews shall still be as empty as they ever were before the outbreak. To the casual onlooker, it seems insane for the C of E to be pandering to Atheist urbanites as if thinking that those that profess to be politically ‘progressive’ would want to have ANYTHING to do with the Church under any circumstances, being that one simply couldn’t think of a more British tradition, two things (that being the ‘British’ and ‘tradition’) that they find more loathsome. Christianity, it would seem – and the Anglican variety in particular really do seem to have missed the point – that religion is inherently Conservative. We certainly shan’t be seeing Islam or Judaism making the same mistakes any time soon! 

No, Wokeness now has a worthy replacement for the House of God in hospitals, and those that refuse to join in the two minutes of virtue signalling on a Thursday evening shall soon, no doubt, be subject to the kind of treatment that Mr. Cummings and his family have had to endure – and all the while stoked up by an increasingly irrelevant Legacy Media that aren’t simply out of touch with mainstream thought, but openly and actively revile it in plain sight. They KNOW they are the minority as they sanctimoniously and hypocritically froth like rabid lunatics and bang on about insults to democracy, (yes, Piers Morgan – I’m looking at you).

The entire team at Sky News appear to be locked in some kind of parallel universe as they doggedly stick to their approved narrative – the one they hope shall become ‘The Truth’ in years to come, no matter how riddled and pock-marked it is with bare-faced lies and propaganda – they act as if they had already won the Culture War and are quite happy to brazenly re-write history right under our noses as it’s happening with a kind of arrogance that is frankly breathtaking!

In conclusion – and setting aside all of the censorship we have seen over the last few months, along with the innumerable questions that are going begging with regard to COVID-19 itself – let alone the veracity of the computer modelling that led us to deserted high streets and empty hospitals, there is only one, looming thought that now gathers as a storm-cloud on the horizon of the collective thought of the still sane amongst us – and that concerns just what kind of shape the ‘new normal’ shall take as and when the pandemic is deemed to have passed.We, The People of the United Kingdom simply MUST reassert ourselves as the Majority and demand that our historic freedoms are meticulously put back in place – each and every single one of them. We are a free nation – a Democracy, and we shall not now, nor ever succumb to minority rule, no matter what kind of disguise it chooses to hide it’s totalitarian face behind, even if that does happen to be a surgical mask. All the so-called ‘Karen’s and jumped-up tin-pot dictators have had a field day of late – and those rotten apples across the land that spoil the good reputation of our Police Forces have – as the common parlance goes these days: ‘flexed’ and been told in short order to wind their necks in. Rightfully so.

If it were up to me, I would scrap the very notion of a ‘new normal’, as if that means normalising the very wide range of bizarre, shocking, disturbing, outrageous and, frankly – sometimes hilarious behaviours we’ve seen manifested over the last three months then I fear for a future dictated by the madness of that particular crowd.

Which would be enough to drive any level-headed individual insane.
