LABOUR Lord charged with SICKENING child sex offences!

Controversial Rotherham peer Lord Ahmed has been charged with three sex offences and is due in court in Sheffield later this month. Lord Nazir Ahmed, aged 61, of East Bawtry Road, Whiston, Rotherham, was charged yesterday with two counts of attempted rape and one count of indecent assault.

Two other men were also charged yesterday as a result of the same Police investigation, with Mohamed Farouq, 68, of Worrygoose Lane, Whiston, Rotherham, accused of four counts of indecent assault and Mohammed Tariq, 63, of Gerard Road, Rotherham, accused of two counts of indecent assault.

The three men are due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 19. The alleged offences are said to have taken place in Rotherham in the 1970s, when Lord Ahmed was a teenager. He is one of three men facing linked criminal charges after a lengthy investigation by South Yorkshire police.

There have long been suspicions that grooming gangs existed within the Pakistani Muslim community even back to the 1970’s and the Police are now investigating a number of apparent historical offences.
