West Midlands Police detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man was fatally stabbed in Birmingham earlier this morning (Tuesday 2 March).
Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Perry Villa Drive at around 3.50am. A man was found with stab injuries to the neck. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has not been formally identified at this early stage.
A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody on suspicion of murder.
Law enforcement sealed off Perry Villa Drive in order to preserve any potentially crucial evidence.
Officers are currently conducting house to house and CCTV enquiries.
Police are appealing for witnesses and urging anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch as they may hold vital information.
