During a heated debate in the House of Commons tonight, Jess Phillips MP, lost her cool and accused the Prime Minster of bullying his own MP’s. In a passionate, if not enraged speech, Phillips stated “I will vote against anything the current Prime Minister puts in front of me”. Not being one to shy away from the spot light, the MP for Birmingham Yardley told the speaker of the house John Bercow she “may say some things that are un-parliamentary”.
Jess Phillips gained notoriety when suggesting that there should not be a national men’s day and scoffed at the mental health and suicide statistics for men. She made headlines after openly stating she would stab Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn in the front and has been vocal on her displeasure of the front bench in her own party.
While speaking on the subject of a possible General Election, Mrs Phillips snarled “I have no confidence in anything the current Prime Minister says”. She continued “The Prime Minister is
playing some bully boy game that I probably won’t understand any more than I understand parliamentary procedures”.
After an apparent interjection from another MP from across the house, Phillips lost control and went against procedure and behaviour by shouting “sorry would the honourable gentleman like to make an intervention? Crack on”.
The MP accused Boris Johnson of playing games and stated he could easily tell the house his plans for a deal. One MP had obviously heard enough and vacated to the lobby. “yeah turraa” (goodbye) was Jess’s response.
Claiming that her responsibility is to “Do the absolute best for my constituency”, many on social media argue that as she represents a constituency which voted in favour of leaving the European
Union when asked in the 2016 referendum, that she doing quite the opposite. Events of the past two days have been met with differing views, with many believing that the actions
of a seemingly pro remain parliament have only sought to block Brexit, merely hidden behind claims that a No-Deal Brexit would be catastrophic to the UK.
Claims which many believe are substantiated by parliament’s blocking of No-Deal under former PM Theresa May, then Mrs May’s deal, and again a No-Deal scenario under current PM Boris Johnson. The May Deal, three times voted down by the house, has now been brought back to the table as a possible outcome. Due to Tellers mysterious absence, something which was quickly passed over by the MSM, the ‘Dead Deal’ was automatically allowed to pass through for debate.
Jess Phillips was quizzed on her thoughts that the possibility of Jeremy Corbyn in number 10 has put most people off agreeing to a General Election, “I am not able to be completely critical when I think things are wrong” was her response.
She then very aggressively accused Tories of being “to cowardly to say in public what they are all saying in the tea rooms”. A claim that there is obviously no evidence of but nonetheless could be
seen as believable, given the events of the past two days.
