Sadiq Khan’s TFL SLAMMED for adverts telling men how to SIT on underground!

According to WikiPedia:

Manspreading or man-sitting is the practice of men sitting in public transport with legs wide apart, thereby covering more than one seat. Both this posture and the use of the neologism “manspreading” have occasioned some internet criticism and debates in the US, UK, Turkey, and Canada.

The public debate began when an anti-manspreading campaign started on the social media website Tumblr in 2013; the term appeared a year later.

Oxford Dictionaries.com added the word “manspreading” in August 2015. Use of the term has been criticized as “a caricature of feminism” and the practice has been juxtaposed with examples of women taking up excessive space in public spaces with bags

Now embattled Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has come under stinging criticism for adverts paid for out of the Transport for London budget that are appearing on the Underground advising men on how to sit properly:

With crime being such a significant factor in London many were quick to criticise this as a waste of taxpayers money with comments on Twitter such as the following: This comes as Sadiq Khan has called for Article 50 to be REVOKED, Khan said:

Theresa May has been negotiating with the EU and her party and cabinet for a 1000 days.

The idea that in just two or three days there’ll be a resolution between the Tory and Labour leadership is just not realistic.

In those circumstances, I think we should stop the clock.

So let’s stop the clock, let’s revoke Article 50.

The reality is we’ve got this clock running down and this artificial date that has been imposed upon us because of the servicing of Article 50.

The thing to do is withdraw that so the pressure’s taken off.

Cool, calm heads can reach a resolution.

That could be some sort of deal, and the deal that secures the most votes in parliament should be one of the options put to the British public. With the option also of remaining in the EU.”
